Room Hire

TBC is more than just Sundays.  Our twelve bookable rooms are used by a wide variety of groups throughout the week, from dance lessons and children’s parties to counselling and the health services. All our users have access to free WiFi and many include access to kitchen facilities.

TBC is fully accessible, with a lift to the first floor enabling buggies and wheelchairs to access all of our rooms, three accessible toilets and baby changing facilities in Dove, Cherwell and Tyne. More details on our Accessibility Page.

Our rooms are available to hire on an hourly basis Monday – Saturday (excluding Friday evening) – for long bookings, our daily rate is equivalent to a 6 hour booking.

Ground floor rooms

The Worship Room

£73.75 per hour (non commercial rate) – £75.50 per hour from 1 September 2026
£105.25 per hour (commercial rate) – £108 per hour from 1 September 2026
Dimensions: 22.6m x 17.9m

The Worship Room can be booked through the week for musical performances, talks or shows. Standard seating is around 350 people which can increase to 500 if the connecting doors are open to Darenth.  Around 200 of these seats are on the flat, with the remainder on shallow wide steps at the rear of the room, giving a clear view of the stage.

This room has and full AV set up including large front and rear facing screens – please note this may only be operated by one of our qualified technician at additional cost and subject to availability.  The drum kit and organ on the stage remain in situ at all times and may be used by prior arrangement.

Included when you book the Worship Room is Darenth, which can be opened up to make a large room or used as a lounge, coffee bar or break out room.

Darenth

£20 per hour (non commercial rate)

Dimensions: 10.9m x 7.2m

This multi purpose ground floor room has lots of natural light and can be used as a lounge, coffee bar or meeting room and can comfortably fit up to 60 people.

Darenth has an adjoining kitchenette equipped with coffee machines, hot water urn, fridge, dishwasher and sink so light refreshments be prepared and served from the hatch. The double doors open out onto Darenth Avenue with  a small paved area and landscaped garden beds.

The room benefits from a large wall mounted TV with HDMI connection and comes equipped with comfortable sofas and coffee tables which can be arranged in a lounge style or over to one side to allow for a central block of chairs.

Derwent

£22.50 per hour (non commercial rate) – £23 per hour from 1 September 2026
£32 per hour (commercial rate) – £32.75 per hour from 1 September 2026
Dimensions: 17.8m x 6.8m

This large lounge is perfect for gatherings of up to 80 and can be used for meals, talks or activities that require a bit more space.  On Wednesdays and Thursdays it is home to the Derwent Day Centre. With two external doors, this room comes with access to drink making facilities in our main kitchen which can easily be served through a hatch into the room.  If you wish to book the kitchen for food preparation there is an additional charge. Derwent is equipped with a selection of large armchairs and benefits from a large wall mounted screen with HDMI connection and AV set up.

Brent

£27.25 per hour (non commercial rate) – £28 per hour from September 2026
£39 per hour (commercial rate) – £40 per hour from September 2026
Dimensions: 17.8m x 12.3m

A large, double height, sports hall able to hold up to 200 people, that can be used for a wide range of events including meals, sports activities and children’s parties.  There is a stage at one end that can be used by arrangement, a projector screen and two portable basketball hoops. A badminton net is available on request and the high windows are fitted with blackout curtains. Brent can seat up 170 people – trestle tables and chairs are available.  Bookings in Brent include the use of Cherwell (with an external door) and access to facilities to make drinks in our main kitchen.  If you wish to book the kitchen for food preparation there is an additional charge.

Cherwell

£17 per hour (non commercial rate) – £17.25 per hour from 1 September 2026
£24.25 per hour (commercial rate) – £24.75 per hour from 1 September 2026
Dimensions: 8.8m x 6.2m

Situated on the ground floor adjoining Brent, Cherwell can be used for meetings or meals of up to 40 people. Cherwell benefits from a hatch to the main kitchen, and a wall mounted screen with HDMI connection. There are adjacent toilets with baby changing facilities and an external entrance overlooking a small green space (please note, this space is not enclosed).  There is an internal window into Brent, making this room an ideal addition for children’s parties taking place in the hall. Cherwell is included with all bookings for Brent, or may be booked on its own.

Dove

£17 per hour (non commercial rate) – £17.25 per hour from 1 September 2026

Dimensions: 6.9m x 6.4m

Dove is our fully equipped creche, including adjoining baby changing facilities. There are a number of comfortable chairs and a selection of toys suitable for children up to 2 years .  This room doubles up as the base for Sustain Food Bank on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and is available on other days for small groups of children and carers.

First Floor Rooms

Tyne & Mersey

£20.25 per hour (non commercial rate) – £21.25 per hour from 1 September 2026
£29 per hour (commercial rate) – £30.25 per hour from 1 September 2026
Dimensions: Tyne 8.5m x 6m / Mersey 11m x 9m

Tyne and Mersey are a suite of two interconnected rooms that are in demand for children’s parties, pre school activities and exercise classes for groups of up to 70 (between both rooms).  You enter Tyne from the corridor and have a kitchenette to your left, containing a sink, kettle and food preparation area.  This is the smaller of the two rooms and is perfect for serving coffee or a party tea, with the main activity taking place next door.  There are adjoining private toilets with baby changing facilities.  The rooms come equipped with children’s tables and chairs – adult chairs and trestle tables are available on request.  Double doors take you into Mersey which is a small sports hall with plenty of space for a bouncy castle up to 10′ high or stretching out in an exercise class.

Longmead Lounge

£20 per hour (non commercial rate) – £20.50 per hour from 1 September 2026

Dimensions: 10.6m x 6.1m

A comfortable lounge situated at the far end of the upstairs corridor, this room is perfect for private gatherings of up to 50 people. With an adjacent toilet, and small kitchenette (including a fridge, sink and kettle) and a wall mounted screen with HDMI connection, you have everything you need for your meeting in a self contained unit.  Should you need an additional break-out room, Tweed is just across the corridor. As this is a south facing room, benefitting from plenty of sun light, there is a wall mounted air conditioning unit for hot summer days.

The Youth Room

Dimensions: 12.6m x 6.8m

Designed with youth groups in mind, this room has a wipe clean floor and is perfect for creative groups of all kinds, and has hosted beauty courses, art classes and kids messy play. It comes equipped with a kitchen area with fridge, kettle and sink.  There is a large wall mounted screen with HDMI connection, and bistro tables and chairs (trestle tables are available on request).

Our two small rooms are ideal for 1-2-1 meetings, counselling or groups of up to 6 and are situated on the first floor.

They are both comfortably equipped with a two seater sofa, arm chairs and a coffee table.  Welland has the addition of a desk with desk chairs.

The Main Kitchen

The kitchen can only be booked alongside Derwent, Brent or Cherwell.

Our kitchen was completely refurbished in 2020, and has excellent facilities for cooking a full meal for your function with large fridges, multiple hobs, two large ovens, two warming ovens and a dishwasher.  You will be fully briefed on how to use the appliances by one of our catering team before your booking.

The kitchen is equipped with plates, glasses, bowls, cutlery, cooking and serving dishes for up to 100 people.

Use of the kitchen for catering must be supervised at all times by an individual with level 2 food hygiene and is only available as an add on to bookings in Derwent, Cherwell or Brent.

Audio / Visual Technician

£20 per hour (minimum charge £50)

The Worship Room is equipped with full audio visual facilities, enabling you to show visuals on the front and rear facing large screens and amplify vocals and instruments.   All our technicians are volunteers for the church and many have full time jobs.  This means that while we will be happy to request technical support for your event we cannot guarantee it until we have confirmation of their availability.  We will discuss your request with you to determine how many technicians you will need (maximum of three)

Live Music License

From £15 per event

If you wish to hold a live music event (other than an act of worship) please give full details in your enquiry, including the anticipated number of guests, whether the event will have a ticket price and what this will be. We will then be able to let you know the cost for licensing your event which we will pay to PRS on your behalf.

Room hire enquiry

TBC is a popular venue for children’s parties (up to school year 6).  These can be held on Saturdays throughout the year at the special rate of £55 for 3 hours in Tyne & Mersey, or £65 for 3 hours in Brent and Cherwell. Additional hours are charged on the non commercial rate.  A £50 refundable damage deposit applies to all parties.

Please check your dates on the link below and complete the booking request form, ensuring you leave a minimum 30 minute gap between bookings.  Once your booking request has been reviewed, we will be in contact to confirm the details, or to suggest alternatives.  Please note, we are unable to take party bookings on Sundays.

    There is limited parking reserved for visitors just outside the main entrance.

    We encourage all regular visitors to use the parking at Tonbridge Angels FC at the end of Darenth Avenue and enjoy the short (200m) walk.
