Communion
And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
1 Corinthians 11:24-25
For over 2000 years Christians have shared bread and wine (or grape juice) together to remember why Jesus died and rose again. We remember the forgiveness and peace with God that Jesus offers us.
We share communion twice a month – once in the morning and once in the evening. Some of these services are ‘Taste & See’ when we spend the whole service looking more deeply at communion and what Jesus did for us on the cross.
On the 4th Wednesday of each month we meet in the Longmead Lounge for a relaxed time of worship, prayer, teaching and communion.
