Over 350 people give their time to make the weekday activities and Sunday programme of TBC happen. Whether you’re an expert washer-upper, love to make people feel at home, are happy tinkering with AV or have a passion for kids ministry we’d love to help you find your place in the team.

Youth and Kids
Anchor Girls Helper
Our Anchor Girls section needs helpers to join the teams for the 5-8 year old section. The role will include assisting groups in a variety of games and activities. Very little planning required just come along and join the fun!
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Fridays 4:45-6:45pm
Junior Boys Helper
Our Junior Boys section needs helpers to join the teams. The role will include assisting groups in a variety of games and activities for 8-11 year olds. Very little planning required just come along and join the fun!
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Fridays 6:20-8pm weekly or fortnightly
Company Girls Leader
One of the current leaders of Company Girls will be stepping down in July so we are looking for someone to take their place from September.

Fridays, weekly or fortnightly 7.45-9.45pm
Amicus
Our mixed youth group for year 10+ is bursting at the seams! Many of the group would like to invite their friends but with over 40 on the register, we need more helpers willing to come along, get to know these young people and help maintain the fun, safe environment on a Friday evening.

Fridays 8-10pm
Crèche helper
Creche is looking for leaders to join the team working with babies and toddlers. The role includes welcoming families and helping settle the children, supervising and helping the children as they play.
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Sunday mornings, once or twice a month
Adventurers helper
Our Adventurers team work in teams serving approx. 1 week in 4. They supervise the children playing and have short, age appropriate songs and stories.

Sunday mornings, once or twice a month
Club Sunday helper
Club Sunday have 30+ kids aged 5-11yrs each week who do craft, games and then divide into small groups to learn about Jesus. The role involves chatting with the children ensuring that they feel welcome and happy.

Sunday mornings, 9.30-11.30, either weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
Basecamp
The Basecamp team work in pairs to lead our young teenagers in exploring the bible. Content is provided in advance by our Youth Leader.

Own It!
Our Sunday evening Own It! group are an example to us all. They have grown into an amazingly kind and welcoming group who are so hungry to explore their faith and all that it means! With over 25 of them meeting weekly we really need more leaders to come alongside them and help them navigate being Christians in their world.

Tech / IT
Social media ambassadors
This role involves creating graphics, taking photos or finding and recording stories.
Could be ideal for a Duke of Edinburgh student volunteering, or for someone who is enthusiastic about social media.
Remote working as suits you

If you are interested in joining our Tech team in supporting services please get in touch. Full training will be given.
As and when required (an hour or two once or twice a month)
Live Stream Hosts
We would like to help create a community for those watching services on live-stream on a Sunday morning. The live stream host would host and moderate a new chat feature we would like to launch this year.
Sunday mornings 9:50-11.15am, online.

Premises
Premises Volunteer
Our premises team are looking for some help with general tasks like hoovering rooms and corridors, cleaning the main kitchen and/or Darenth kitchen and cleaning internal windowsills.
One or two days a week, either morning or afternoon.

Services
Refreshments team
We’re in need of people to join teams of 4+ to prepare and serve refreshments before and after morning services about every six weeks.
Sunday mornings from 9am until midday.
Host team
This role involves welcoming people to TBC at our Sunday morning or evening services, directing children and young people to their groups, engaging with newcomers and answering questions.
Sundays 9:30-11:30am, or 6-8pm once or twice a month.
