We are delighted to be able to welcome you back to live, in-person, worship services at TBC at 10am each Sunday morning.

Seats for our services are limited and so places must be booked in advance – single and double seats are available.  If you will be attending in a larger household group, please book the appropriate number of seats and make a note in the comments that you are one household. Our Sunday services will continue to be streamed live on our website.

As is the case everywhere, things are a little different from what we are used to, with face coverings required and social distancing adhered to. Got questions? Read the FAQ at the bottom of the page first and if you still need to contact us please email the office.

It is really important that you do not attend church if you feel unwell and have any of the following COVID-19 symptoms:

  • a new continuous cough,
  • a high temperature or,
  • a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell

In such circumstances you should self-isolate at home immediately (with other members of  your household) and get tested as soon as possible.  Please do not attend if you or anybody in your household is self-isolating.

Service FAQs

We’re sure you have many questions about what our services will look like as people return to meeting in person.

Until September we anticipate the majority of people to be watching at home, and so the focus will still be on our digital congregation. This means that, while we can’t wait to see you again, there will still be cameras and screens set up and the same service format and style as during the last year.

Please enter through the main reception unless you are arriving with children.

Children are welcome in the Sunday service.  If you are arriving with children who are booked in to attend Messy Church, Club Sunday or Basecamp, please enter through the Darenth Road doors and each member of your family will be directed appropriately.  If you arrive by car, please walk around the outside of the building to get to the entrance. The creche facilities will be available for you to use if you need to but will not be supervised.

Our toilets are available to those attending services, but we are continuing to advise social distancing and the use of hand sanitiser. The numbers permitted in each toilet area are clearly indicated on the entrance door.

For our Sunday service please arrive between 9:40am and 9:50am and wait outside, leaving appropriate space until the host invites you in. This allows everyone to be seated before livestreaming starts.

We will adhere to BU guidance and advise sitting with with households being sat 1m+ apart.  If you are attending in a ‘bubble’ with a friend please book together.

Unfortunately, at the moment we are unable to provide refreshments and once you are shown to your seat you will need to remain seated throughout the service so we advise you to bring a bottle of water with you.

Communion will take place on the first Sunday every month.  To avoid unnecessary contact with each other, please bring your own communion – a non alcoholic drink and something to eat – with you to this service.

Yes! You may sing but please continue to wear a mask while you do so in order to respect those around you and protect the most vulnerable.

There will be a wide angle camera at the back of the Worship room (as we did pre-pandemic) which will be used occasionally during our Sunday Service.  Our Wednesday service is not filmed.

Both Sunday and Wednesday services are about an hour.

At the end of the service the service leader will direct you how to leave following current government advice and you may chat to others outside of the building.  Please make sure you leave via the door you came in through, and maintain social distance. Why not invite another household to join you for lunch after the service?
