We are delighted to be able to welcome you back to live, in-person, worship services at TBC. We meet at 10am each Sunday morning and twice a month on Sunday evenings and Wednesdays mornings.

Our Sunday services no longer need to be booked. Our Sunday morning, and some Sunday evening, services will continue to be streamed live on our website. Our Wednesday morning services do need to be booked – please use the links below to find out more.

As is the case everywhere, things are a little different from what we are used to, with face coverings required in the corridors and social distancing encouraged. Got questions? Read the FAQ at the bottom of the page first and if you still need to contact us please email the office.

It is really important that you do not attend church if you feel unwell, have a positive PCR test or have been advised to isolate, help us to care for you and one another and watch our Sunday services from home.  Please continue to sanitise your hands on arrival and wear a mask when you are walking around the building.

We would encourage you to scan the QR code on entry.

Please rest assured that we are doing all we can through cleaning and ventilation to minimise the risk of spreading Covid, while at the same time moving forward into this ‘next normal’.

Service FAQs

We’re sure you have many questions about what our services will look like as people return to meeting in person.

There have been a lot of changes in the last year and some of them have led us in new and exciting directions.  One of these is our livestream congregation, so in order to continue in this ministry, there will still be cameras and  screens set up, and the service style in the morning will remain similar to the last 18 months.

You can enter through either the main reception or Darenth.

Children are welcome in the Sunday service. We will be running children’s groups on the 1st and 3rd Sunday each month and on other weeks they are welcome in the service with you.  When children’s groups are running, please enter through the main reception doors (the car park) and take your children to their groups.

Once you enter the building you will see that we have removed much of our one-way system, however, please walk on the left in corridors and try to give other building users space.  For those going upstairs, please be aware that the main staircase should be used for going up, please walk along the corridor and use the back stairs for coming down and then enter the service through Darenth.

Our toilets are available to those attending services, but we are continuing to advise social distancing and the use of hand sanitiser. The numbers permitted in each toilet area are clearly indicated on the entrance door.

We understand that all our experiences of the last 18 months have been different, and we want to be sensitive to that, so we have allocated different spaces in the worship room. You can choose to sit in one of three areas:

  • Those who feel more comfortable wearing a mask through the service and maintaining social distancing, please sit on the raised shelf seating at the back.
  • Those who are comfortable without a mask but would prefer to wear one while singing, please sit on the block of seats closest to Reception.
  • Those who are comfortable without wearing a mask at all once at your seat, please sit in the block of seats closest to Darenth.

If you would feel comfortable with a little more space, social distancing seat cards will continue to be available from the host team, while communion will be served to us following covid-safe procedures.  Let’s get to know those sitting around us (it’s great to be back as a family!) which has the added bonus that in the event of a positive PCR test you can let TBC or the NHS know the names of those who sat nearby.

Unfortunately, at the moment we are unable to provide refreshments and once you are shown to your seat you will need to remain seated throughout the service so we advise you to bring a bottle of water with you.

Communion will take place on the first Sunday morning, and fourth Sunday evening every month. Bread and juice will be provided for you to take part.

Yes! You may sing. Depending on wear you choose to sit you may still need to wear a mask:

  • Those who feel more comfortable wearing a mask through the service and maintaining social distancing, please sit on the raised shelf seating at the back.
  • Those who are comfortable without a mask but would prefer to wear one while singing, please sit on the block of seats closest to Reception.
  • Those who are comfortable without wearing a mask at all once at your seat, please sit in the block of seats closest to Darenth.

There will be a wide angle camera at the back of the Worship room (as we did pre-pandemic) which will be used occasionally during our Sunday Service.  Our Wednesday service is not filmed.

Both Sunday and Wednesday services are about an hour.

At the end of the service the service leader will direct you how to leave following current government advice and you may chat to others outside of the building.  Please make sure you leave via the door you came in through, and maintain social distance. Why not invite another household to join you for lunch after the service?
